So I want to watch some stuff on Hulu(or other things i download) but not on my computer. I want to watch it on my TV. Is there something I can buy that will let me go to hulu on my computer then watch the ep or whatever on my Television?
Computer is fairly new, less than 2 years old. TV is older but we play WII on it so it has the red, white and yellow outlets.
Thanks!

It's not guaranteed to work perfectly, but hopefully it does so you don't have to mess with an amplified splitter. Once you've got that, you need something to convert VGA into RCA (the red/white/yellow). Then you'd have to set up something like this VGA -> RCA/SVideo converter. Actually you might want to combine that with the SVideo cable above that also includes sound. And it looks like it has VGA passthrough so you wouldn't really need the VGA splitter above.

Date: 2009-09-25 03:34 pm (UTC)I know Netflix is getting ready to start streaming some content thru the Wii, like they do currently thru the 360. If you had a 360 there are a ton of cool things I could help you with to watch media content on your TV.
Have you purchased the internet browser for the Wii? I'm almost certain that my husband was able to access YouTube via that browser on ours, but I don't know about Hulu.

I'll have to consider that web browser for WII too. I've been wanting to get that for some games too.

I just remembered there's TVersity which is free/cheap software you can use to stream to your Wii. I've been meaning to try it out but I haven't yet. It looks like the Pro version does support Hulu, at least for now.
Also, I would highly recommend not using Best Buy for cables and such. They're always waaaaaaaay overpriced. The Monster crap is the worst, but even their generic cables are ridiculous.
