Ficlet: Straight on til morning (fast and furious)
Title: Straight on til Morning

Summary: Dom has all he needs
Straight on til Morning
Dom turned the music down and pressed down harder on the gas. Two o’clock in the morning and the night flew by as he focused and ignored the white lines flying rapidly by on the highway. Brian shifted in the seat next to him and mumbled something before going back to sleep.
Dom figured another few hours of driving and they’d be in Vegas in time for breakfast. Then he could make sure Brian ate something and laid down in a real bed. They’d been back in the States for two days when Brian got shot. The man had a heroic streak a fucking mile wide. The girl he’d been defending knew people who knew other people and they’d fixed up Brian with some pain pills and antibiotics.
After a few days rest and a few moves to different hotels Brian mentioned Vegas and Dom figured that was far enough away from their recent trouble to be worth the trip. A cough caught his attention.
“We should see Elvis and those guys in that circus. Or the blue people.”
Dom laughed. “You wanna go all tourist in Vegas that’s fine with me. Long as you take your pills and get some sleep. You need to stop for anything? There’s a gas station about thirty minutes up the road.”
Brian shifted and opened his eyes. His left arm was in a sling and he only winced a little.
“Yeah, I better stop, get some juice, use the bathroom.”
Dom nodded and made the car go faster. The Super Sport was a good car and since the FBI or cops hadn’t stopped them, he hoped that hadn’t been spotted crossing the border in the silver Monte Carlo.
The stop was brief and Dom bought bottled water and juice. The tank was only half empty but he filled it anyway. The deli sandwiches looked fresh so he got some of those too. The guy behind the counter barely looked at him, or Brian, and Dom took that as a good sign.
Brian was muttering and trying to get comfortable and Dom watched him for a few minutes before offering a suggestion.
“You want to climb in the back, try and stretch out a bit?”
Brian’s face turned red and he cleared his throat before eyeing the back seat. Dom suddenly remembered what they’d done or at least attempted to do in the same backseat and he laughed.
“No blowjobs until you’re better.”
Brian laughed and carefully rolled up Dom’s jacket to rest his head on, but stayed in the front seat.
Dom took off and didn’t argue when Brian turned the volume up on the radio.
