Sudden thought earlier. Nathan Petrelli is the Daniel Jackson of Heroes. He gets almost fatally burned from saving his brother. Radiation? Hello? Daniel totally had radiation issues.

Then he's cured by Adam, who may be considered 'god-like.' Ancients take Daniel and then when he returns he's cured.

In two different future scenarios we find out Nathan is dead. Hmm, Daniel's other self is dead in the first alternate dimension ep. I can't remember if they mention him in the ep where Sam and Kowalski come thru the mirror.

All we need now to further the comparison is for Nathan to appear somewhere naked and then have a dream episode where he goes evil and takes over the world.

Edited to add: Like Daniel Jackson, Nathan's so hot that it's hard not to pair him with everyone around him. Nathan/Matt, Nathan/Peter, Nathan/Mohinder, Nathan/Sylar, Nathan/Niki, Nathan/wallpaper, Nathan/beard.
