Various things, food, kids,

I think my three year old just told me to get her a "damn popsicle." I understood the popsicle but maybe the other word was 'yam.' Um. Considering that this is the same child who sat on her potty and said, "Damnit, damnit, damnit' a few months ago, she probably did say damn.
I made macncheese the other day because the six yr old wanted some and hubby had to work(as usual). So I got the recipe from him and it turned out great. Some flour some water, some milk and white pepper, some velveeta. Yum.
Then later that night I accidentally made a cake(we had cake mix and brownie mix in the cabinet and I failed to look at the front of the box until after i'd mixed the ingredients,so, accidental)and we had no frosting until hubby pulled out the Paula Deen cookbook of butter and yummy food and found me a quick recipe.
Omg, I never knew cream cheese, butter and vanilla flavoring could taste so good together. I like it much more than the cake which is too fudgey rich for me and the frosting.
So I've went to barely cooking at all years ago to now cooking at least three or four times a week. Heh. Cooking can be very exciting at times. Sometimes I imagine I'm on my own cooking show.
The new computer is very fun. It's like I time-traveled from having my nifty computer bought in 2000 all the way to having this techno-monster in 2008.
I'm still figuring stuff out and wow I had to do nothing to make it rip a cd and store it on the computer. What will they think of next? Hubby keeps saying he's just glad he doesn't have to wait on the computer to decide if it wants to work or not.
Wow, I had some great sleep last night, though I did wake up twice. I decided to go lay down around 10pm which is super early for me. I have big sleep problems where I just can't go through the process of falling asleep until i'm exhausted. My insomnia has insomnia.
Really, my brain races around when I lay down. I used to try and count to ten as a kind of 'shut off' for my brain and body but I would never make it to ten before my mind was racing off to another subject. It's crazy and very frustrating.
These last few weeks have been crazy and I can't remember the last time I got eight hours, hell even six hours, of straight sleep.
If I nap in the daytime or afternoon it's not a deep sleep because then my kids would probably tie me up and paint me with markers, so there's always a alertness I have even when napping.
So last night was some good sleeping even with the kiddies sneaking into bed and kneeing me.
I'm off to do things, including supergluing a fake talking parrot back onto his fake branch.
